Animal Nature, 5 week youth art course!
Cost: $65,  for ages 8-12
Mondays 3:30pm-5pm
Starting March 26th
Explore the world of animals through the eyes of an artist. In this five week series children will be exposed to a variety of creation techniques from sculpture to fibre art, colour theory and painting techniques. We will each choose our favorite animal and create our works of art inspired by their unique features, traits and habits.

Life/figure Drawing Workshop 3:  Portraiture
April 13th, 12pm-3pm
$50, $45 for VISAC Members

Unlock the proportion and technique secrets behind drawing the human face. Work through a series of skill building exercises and finish the class by completing a portrait of our model.

Life/figure Drawing Workshop 2:  Light & Shadow
March 10th, 12pm-3pm
$50, $45 for VISAC Members

Expand your knowledge of light and shadow through a series of exercises on creating depth and definition with mark making. Specific instruction will be given on how light and shadow affect form with the use of shapes and the human body.

Life/figure Drawing Workshop 1 : NOW FULL
Receive instruction on materials and techniques for life drawing. Practice basic structure drawings, gesture drawing, and contour drawing. Class will begin with a series of warm up exercises and progress to longer drawing periods for working in greater detail.

When: Sat Feb 24, 12pm-3pm

About the Instructor: Sarah Elizabeth has been drawing since she could first hold a pencil and started life drawing at the age of 13. In 2008 she completed her Honors Baccalaureate of Art and graduated from the University of Guelph with a Major in Painting and Drawing, Minor in Sculpture. She moved across the country in 2013 and settled in Rossland, BC, where she finds much inspiration.

As there will be a nude model, this workshop is 18+. If you are 15-18 and wish to go you must have parent permission and waiver
