Itty Bitty Art Time - Preschool Summer Camp (2-5)

Looking to explore art and creativity with the little kiddo in your life? 

The instructor, Erin Shuttleworth, will prepare projects focused on process and sensory activities that engage your preschoolers with colour, texture, and fun! Please be aware that this class gets messy, so send children in comfortable play clothes. 

Children ages 2-5 yrs old (one adult helper per child or group of children is required.)

Youth Summer Art Camp (5-8)

Join programming manager and comic artist Erin Shuttleworth for summer art camps! Erin has a BFA in Studio Arts from UVic and a Masters of Illustration from Falmouth University. Her classes focus on process-based activities that don't have a set outcome, fostering creativity and a low pressure environment, encouraging exploration and making mistakes!


These classes run Mon-Fri from 10am-11am, for ages 5-8. 


Week 2 - 3D Art

July 15 - 19, 2024 @ 10am - 11am

Participants will make a variety of 3-dimensional projects such as air-dry clay, recycled sculptures and dioramas.


Minimum 6 students per week, with a maximum of 12.


Class Fee:

$55 per child, or a drop in of $11 per day

Comic Art Classes for Teens (13-18)

Workshop dates: July 22 - 26, 2024 @ 1pm-2pm


Join programming manager and comic artist Erin Shuttleworth for summer art camps! Erin has a BFA in Studio Arts from UVic and a Masters of Illustration from Falmouth University. Held for 1 week in July, participants will develop mini comics, design characters, draw in 1-point and 2-point perspective and self publish their own comic. Participants are encouraged to bring any comics they have made previously for feedback, however this is also a beginner friendly workshop!


Minimum 6 students per week, with a maximum of 12.

3D Summer Art Camp

Join programming manager and arts practitioner Erin Shuttleworth for a week of material exploration, experimentation and skill development. 

There are 2 sessions per day, based on age:
Ages 2-5 from 9:00am-9:45am at $35 per week ($8 drop in per day)
Ages 5-8 from 10:00am-11:00am at $55 per week ($11 drop in per day)

Teen Comic Classes

Comics are taking over the VISAC from July 22-26, 2024!

Hosted by comic artist and illustrator Erin Shuttleworth, participants will explore booklet creation, character design, perspective drawing, storytelling and DIY (do-it-yourself) publishing. Open to all skill levels and styles.
