About Us
WHO ARE WE
We are a charitable non-profit gallery offering diverse exhibitions and programming. Our gallery offers excellent facilities including an exhibition space, meeting and programming area, and fully equipped pottery and lapidary studios.
We are run mostly by a small group of committed volunteers and a few paid professionals. We are committed to serving the arts in our community and are proud to be a part of Trail’s action plan for arts and heritage. We welcome your involvement in the gallery through membership, exhibitions, workshops and classes, volunteering and more.
OUR MANDATE
Our mandate is to support and present the work of emerging and established Kootenay Artists and to provide training opportunities at all levels.

EXHIBITIONS
Group shows 25%, established artists 25% and emerging artists 50%.
Plan and present an average of eight in a year.
We are often many emerging artists first gallery exhibition.
As a community gallery, we support and show exhibits based on community interest.
PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES
Workshops and Classes - average 16 a year, all levels, half geared to youth
Events and Support - Support local artists host art themed events, open to new ideas, promote arts culture and appreciation in Trail.
Art Clubs - ongoing clubs for youth, families and artists
CURRENT PRIORITIES
Growth - Growing volunteer and membership base.
Charity - Becoming better known as a worthy charity for those looking to leave legacy and support the arts in Trail.
Outreach - Spreading our reach supporting and organizing art themed events and initiatives outside of the Gallery.
