About the JL Crowe Student Art Showcase:
The VISAC Gallery supports emerging youth artists in the community each year by hosting the local highs chool art class with their very own gallery exhibition. We provide a location where students' works can be brought to the public’s attention and showcase to the community at large. The show recognises and promotes the hard work and creativity that the young artists have put into their pieces this year. The exhibit features close to 70 artists from ages 12 - 18 in the gallery.
The students will organize their own evening reception, so come out on May 23rd from 5pm-7pm and support their creative vision!

Pottery Class - $280
This covers any 6-week series currently being offered in our Pottery studio, minus the cost of clay.
Itty Bitty Art Time - $100
This covers the Winter 2024 series of Itty Bitty Art Time, or could go towards other future classes.
Youth Class - $80
This covers the Winter 2024 series of Visual Exploration Club, or can be put towards any other youth programming.
Art Workshops - $275
This flat rate covers any private workshop offered in the art studio. While there are comic and block printing options currently advertised, please reach out if there's a specific workshop you'd like to participate in.
Friday Night Pottery - $275
This flat rate covers any private pottery workshop offered, such as slab mugs, coil bowls or wheel experiences.
Gift Card - any value
Purchase a blank card for any value you would like! These can go towards classes, art purchases, private experiences or merchandise.
What's new at the VISAC Gallery?
We are pleased to debut our new art vending machine, featuring block printed art by Erin Shuttleworth. Bring a toonie during opening hours to try it out!
Gift cards for specific class types, as well as for any denomination, are now available for purchase. Give an experience to a loved one, such as a pottery class or youth workshop.
Our Winter 2024 Calendar is now ready for sign up - we have a wide range of programs for adults and youth.
Our next gallery show, featuring the work of Sab Curtis, opens on January 29th and runs until March 7th.

We're excited to welcome youth and families to VISAC this winter. We've expanded our core youth programming to include classes for all ages and welcomed programming manager, Erin Shuttleworth, to our team.
Looking to explore art and creativity with the little kiddo in your life? Itty Bitty Art Time is with instructor Erin Shuttleworth is for you! Erin's projects focused on process and sensory activities that engage your preschoolers with colour, texture, and fun!
For school-aged youth, instructor Erin Shuttleworth is hosting bi-weekly creativity clubs that encourage creative growth and exploration with monthly themes and topics to guide creativity. Participants will be tasked with finding their own style, experimenting with materials, and starting to develop their own art-making process.

If you don’t have a cell phone, please use the main entrance to Selkirk on Helena street which is open from 9 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
