The Human Body as a Canvas
Experience the artistry up close and personal in this exhibition that explores themes of environment, technology and self-expression. Participants of The Art of Adornment designed wearable art for this juried fashion show. Presented in collaboration with the Rossland Council for Arts and Culture (RCAC).
Events and Activities
July 15-August 15 @ 10am-2pm: The VISAC Gallery is open to visitors from Monday to Thursday.
August 10-11 @ 10am-5pm: Visit the VISAC Gallery during the Columbia Basin Culture Tour to engage with the exhibition and participate in a recycled art workshop.
3D Summer Art Camps
Join programming manager and arts practitioner Erin Shuttleworth for material exploration, experimentation and skill development.
There are 2 sessions per day, based on age:
Ages 2-5 from 9:00am-9:45am at $40 per week
Ages 5-8 from 10:00am-11:00am at $55 per week

Teen Comic Classes
Comics are taking over the VISAC from July 22-26, 2024!
Hosted by comic artist and illustrator Erin Shuttleworth, participants will explore booklet creation, character design, perspective drawing, storytelling and DIY (do-it-yourself) publishing. Open to all skill levels and styles.

Pottery Class - $280
This covers any 6-week series currently being offered in our Pottery studio, minus the cost of clay.
Itty Bitty Art Time - $100
This covers the Winter 2024 series of Itty Bitty Art Time, or could go towards other future classes.
Youth Class - $80
This covers the Winter 2024 series of Visual Exploration Club, or can be put towards any other youth programming.
Art Workshops - $275
This flat rate covers any private workshop offered in the art studio. While there are comic and block printing options currently advertised, please reach out if there's a specific workshop you'd like to participate in.
Friday Night Pottery - $275
This flat rate covers any private pottery workshop offered, such as slab mugs, coil bowls or wheel experiences.
Gift Card - any value
Purchase a blank card for any value you would like! These can go towards classes, art purchases, private experiences or merchandise.
What's new at the VISAC Gallery?
We are pleased to debut our new art vending machine, featuring block printed art by Erin Shuttleworth. Bring a toonie during opening hours to try it out!

If you don’t have a cell phone, please use the main entrance to Selkirk on Helena street which is open from 9 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
